Check out this amazing cabinet hardware by New York based Darcy Miro.  It brings to mind bark, barnacles, and metal left underwater for ages.

Historically Inaccurate

I stumbled across the blog Historically Inaccurate today, and I’m hooked.  Artist Richard Saja is doing some amazing things with toile.  Many of his pieces are hand embroidered to give an edgy twist to what is typically a very traditional fabric.  Be sure to click on these images to get the full impact.  I love this throw pillow featuring a bird couple:
